Il en rêvait, il l’a fait : Matthew Goss a remporté le Philadelphia International Championship, permettant à l’équipe HTC-Columbia de faire le doublé après le succès l’an passé d’André Greipel. L’Australien réalise un petit exploit puisqu’il bat au sprint, au sein d’un peloton réduit, le toujours redoutable Slovaque Peter Sagan (Liquigas). Alexander Kristoff (BMC Racing) complète le podium, duquel les Américains sont absents.
